Teresa Pasquale Mateus, LCSW, E-RYT 200 received her masters in Clinical Social Work at New York University, is a registered yoga teacher, and she graduated the Living School at the Center for Action and Contemplation in 2015. She teaches meditation and contemplative prayer and integrates mind, body and spirit practices, as well as creative and expressive arts, into her clinical work. Her areas of focus are trauma survivors, POC/WOC, activists/organizers, healing care providers and pastors/clergy, spiritual trauma, and LGBTQIA community members — al- ways with a trauma-conscious approach to care. Additionally, she supports those with co-occur- ing addiction, depression or mood disorders, life changes, spiritual crisis, issues of identity and adjustment for young adults (20-30-somethings), among other issues. Teresa is, also, the author of Mending Broken: A Personal Journey Through the Stages of Trauma & Recovery (CreateSpace, 2012) and Sacred Wounds: A Path to Healing from Spiritual Trauma (Chalice Press, 2015). She has a third book on spiritual pilgrimage coming out in 2017/18 (Paraclete Press). Besides clinical care she speaks, teaches, and runs workshops and retreats on issues of trauma, spirituality, justice and healing locally and nationally.
