Ernesto Sandoval
Ernesto Sandoval, MAPC (esandoval@claretcenter.org), is bilingual (English and Spanish). His practical approach is client focused and collaborative. He is fascinated by the human experience and believes the therapeutic alliance is possible when there is an innate desire to grow.
Ernesto is open-minded and friendly to all faiths and traditions. He worked with adults and young adults coping with grief, compulsive behaviors, trauma, and depression. His former experience as a member of a religious congregation and his volunteering experience with young adults and family ministry educational programs, has helped him cultivate a more approachable, engaging, and compassionate counseling practice.
By being empathically engaged and attentive towards the client’s needs and treatment, he blends integrative therapies that best respond to a client’s needs and continues to develop his approach to psychotherapy by working collaboratively with his clients.
Ernesto received his Bachelor of Arts degree from DePaul University in Chicago with a focus in religious studies and has completed his Master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling at Loyola University in Chicago. He completed his internship program with the Claret Center and provided counseling services in a parish setting. He is currently engaged on his residency program.
