Damaris Colon-Soto, BA, a native of Puerto Rico, provides counseling services at Claret Center and at St. Mary’s Church in Riverside. She holds a BA in Psychology from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico and is now pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
Damaris is a compassionate bilingual counselor who helps individuals and couples who struggle with trauma and grief. She also provides culturally-sensitive care in the areas of human sexuality and LGBTQ+ advocacy. Her approach to therapy draws on the biopsychosocial, mindfulness and cognitive behavioral traditions, and she works with clients from all spiritual and faith backgrounds.
