Group Therapy
Do you wonder about your interpersonal style? Are you aware of concerns that you have about relational patterns that you have developed. Does reflecting on your life and important aspects of your life with like minded people sound attractive to you?
Group Therapy offers the possibility of a unique and powerful experience of healing. It can be a primary therapeutic approach or it works well in conjunction with individual therapy or spiritual direction. In our therapy groups members experience:
A supportive, benevolent and challenging community. Multiple mirrors in which to experience and see oneself as you relate to different members as well as the leader of the group.
An opportunity to explore issues related to relationships and interpersonal style, self esteem, sibling and family dynamics, stages of life, identity and sexuality.
If you have questions or would like more information please contact Connie Vitale at (773)643-6259 X23
Group Spiritual Direction
In a sacred circle of trust each person is reverenced as she or he experiences one’s relationship with God in the companionship of others and a trained spiritual director. The openness and sharing of wisdom that can happen within such a group setting provides many with the support and environment needed to continue one’s spiritual journey within the context of life’s experiences. Call Claret Center for more information.
Growing Together:
a one day retreat for the two of you
Learn to listen deeply to the wisdom available inside yourself – and within your partner. This experience involves identifying significant personal themes in advance. Relying on these themes, Allan generates two guided imagery experiences for the retreat day. After each of these meditations, experienced together, each person spends extended time listening privately within her or himself. Then both come together with Allan to share the fruits of the meditation and reflection. This sequence happens once in the morning and once in the afternoon. The day concludes with an integrating prayer experience. This is a wonderful way for a couple to renew their connection, and support each other’s spiritual and emotional growth.
A copy of each meditation will be provided for future use. Overnight accommodations are available. The retreat day is scheduled at the convenience of each couple.
Facilitator: Allan Schnarr, M.Div., PhD.
Group Supervision for Formators
Group Supervision is available on a monthly basis.
The sessions allow for a safe
space to reflect on personal experiences in formation.
Dates: Determined by participants
Cost:: $50.00 – 2 hour sessions
Facilitator: Helen Cahill, O.P.

Supporting Responsible Sexuality
Responsibility entails well informed choices. Informed choices come from
- being openly attentive to one’s own experience (feelings, choices, consequences),
- tracking one’s experience in some form of journaling,
- authentically disclosing one’s experience to one or more others,
- listening carefully to feedback from others,
- prayerfully reflecting on all of the above.
This seminar will provide formators with tools to support students in becoming responsible for their own sexuality. A clear model of the addictive trap into which one falls when awareness and choice are denied, will also be provided.

Time: 9:00am – 12:00pm
Cost: $75.00
Facilitator: Allan Schnarr, M.Div.,PhD.
