He believes that the practice of therapy is a creative, collaborative endeavor that makes use of science, theory, intuition, improvisation, insight and spirituality.

Bill has practiced Vipassana meditation (from Theravada Buddhism) for over a decade. He integrates that mindfulness with relational psychodynamic principles in his work with the ever-present intention to put the values, personality and goals of each client at the center of every therapeutic encounter. Bill has worked extensively with men in groups and is especially interested in helping artists www.claretcenter.org/counseling-for-artists/  activate their full creative potential.

Bill has a strong commitment to social justice in his therapy practice. He welcomes individuals and couples of all races, ethnicities, gender identities, abilities and body types.
